and privacy.
The things worth knowing before — and after — you order. Anything not covered, just ask.
§ 01 — Shipping
Royal Mail,
well packed.
Books go out within two working days of an order. Usually faster.
All orders ship via Royal Mail. Most paperbacks go as Large Letter (2–4 working days in the UK). Heavier hardbacks and multi-book orders go as Small Parcel (2–3 working days). Tracking is included on orders over £30; if you'd like it on a smaller order, drop us a line before you buy.
International orders ship via Royal Mail International Standard — typically 5–10 working days to Europe, 7–14 to the rest of the world. Customs duties and import taxes, where applicable, are the buyer's responsibility.
Books are packed in card-backed envelopes or small boxes, wrapped in tissue. Packed the way we'd want things to arrive.
§ 02 — Returns
Described honestly.
Backed up.
If a book isn't as described, we want to know.
Books are described accurately. If something arrives and doesn't match its description, return it within 14 days for a full refund of the item price and your original postage. We'll cover the return postage.
Change-of-mind returns are accepted within 7 days; in that case we ask that you cover the cost of sending it back.
In either case, email us first — most things are resolved without needing to post anything. The address is on the contact page.
§ 03 — Privacy
Your data.
Nothing extra.
This is a one-person operation. No ad networks, no trackers.
What we collect — When you place an order: name, email address, and delivery address. When you sign up for the newsletter: email address only.
What we do with it — Order data is used to process and dispatch your order and to handle any queries about it. Your address is passed to Royal Mail for delivery and nothing else. Payment is handled by Snipcart and Stripe — we don't handle your card details.
Newsletter addresses are used only for the newsletter. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also write to us directly to be removed at any time.
What we don't do — We don't sell, rent, or share personal data with any third party beyond the payment processor and postal service above. No advertising trackers.
Your rights — Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. Write to us at the address on the contact page and we'll sort it out.
